Ultrasound elastography is able to provide stiffness informations and is used since 2005 in thyroid nodule examination. ShearWave elastography (SWE) is becoming available and provides true quantitative measurement of stiffness with reduced variability between operators. The purpose of our study was to evaluate SWE in routine clinical practice.
